Donors can provide funding for a school who would like to come to the Challenger Learning Center but cannot afford the cost. The donor can specify the school who will receive the funds if they wish.
Examples of cost:
One mission for up to 30 Middle /High school students is $950. Adding an extra venue activity for those students is an additional $200.
$2,300 allows a typical Middle/high school grade level class (60 students) to come for a full day.
For students up to grade 4, a full class (up to 100 students) could come for a full day for $950.
Donors can provide funding for mini-grants for schools or students who would like to come to the Challenger Learning Center but cannot afford the cost. The donor can specify the school or camper who will receive the mini-grant if they wish.
Average day of camp is $45.
If you or your spouse are employees of a company that matches charitable donations, you can multiply the impact of your gift to the CLC, whether your gift is directed to the Annual Fund, an endowment or for a sponsored mission. For further information, contact your Human Resources Department.
Gifts to the Annual Fund provide the Challenger Learning Center of the Twin Tier Region with a flexible source of funds towards financial aid for mission experiences, enhancement of program content and operational funds. Every dollar donated to the Annual Fund supports the educational initiatives of the CLC. Gifts can be made directly to the CLC or can be given to one of the regional foundations where non-endowed funds have been established. Donors have the option to allocate their gifts toward general needs or they can designate their gift to mission experiences for a particular class, school or school district.
Endowed funds are often established as a way to honor or memorialize a relative or friend. These funds are invested, with earnings directed toward program support, in keeping with the donor’s wishes.
