Get ready for a high-flying experience! We are excited to announce our upcoming "Ready, Set, Drone!" workshop on Saturday, September 26th. Designed for students in grades 7–12, this hands-on event offers a fantastic opportunity to dive into the world of aviation and drone technology.
What You'll Do
- Learn the Basics: Enjoy an engaging presentation on flight safety rules, airspace guidelines, and essential pre-flight considerations.
- Build & Fly: Hands-on time assembling your very own modular drone before taking to the skies to practice your piloting skills.
- Explore Careers: Discover exciting future paths in aviation, robotics, and aerospace.
Take Your Drone Home!
Best of all, thanks to the generosity of the Academy of Model Aeronautics, every student gets to take their assembled drone home at the end of the event to keep flying!

Calling All Superheroes! 🦸♀️⚡️
Get ready to unleash your inner scientist and your superpowers! We are thrilled to invite our K-4th grade students and their families to an action-packed Family STEM Night.
Prepare for an evening filled with heroic engineering challenges, marvelous math, and incredible hands-on science experiments. Whether you have the power of super-speed, super-strength, or a super-brain, there will be something fun for everyone to explore and build!
Event Details
- Date: October 16
- Time: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
- Who: Grades K-4th and their families
- Theme: Superheroes!
- Cost: Free! Donations are encouraged.
Registration is requested
but not required.
The 1st 50 to register receive a free superhero themed mini frisbee!
Costumes Encouraged! 🦸♂️ To make the night even more spectacular, students are highly encouraged to dress up as their favorite superhero. Capes and cowls are entirely welcome. We just ask for no masks. — but be sure to bring your super-curiosity!
Mark your calendars, assemble your family squad, and get ready to save the day with science. We can't wait to see our heroic students in action!
This event is free to ensure every family can participate! However, providing hands-on STEM supplies and activities costs approximately $10 per child. If you are able, please consider adding a small donation at checkout to help keep our family programs free for everyone.

All aboard! Get ready to step into Santa’s workshop for a high-powered holiday adventure. We are excited to invite our K–4th grade students to The Elf Engineering Lab: North Pole Express Edition!
Santa’s team needs extra help getting the North Pole Express ready for its big journey, and we’re recruiting creative thinkers to tackle fun, train-themed mechanical challenges.
What You'll Do
- Build & Design: Construct custom track routes and train-powered mechanisms.
- Rube Goldberg Machines: Combine trains, ramps, gears, and festive materials to launch ultimate chain reactions!
- Hands-On STEM: Explore momentum, cause-and-effect, and simple machines through interactive trial and error.
A Drop-and-Shop Event for Parents! 🛍️
Enjoy a two-hour kid-free break during the busy holiday season! Drop off your young inventor for a fun-filled STEM adventure while you finish up holiday shopping or grab a quiet coffee.

- Time: 9-11am
- Eligibility: Students in Grades K–4
- Theme: The North Pole Express!
- Location: Challenger Learning Center of the Twin Tier Region
